| Third Annual Byzantine Greek Summer School, QUB | ||||||
|
The first summer school in Byzantine Greek was held in June 2002 in the Institute of Byzantine Studies as a pilot for two students with liturgical interests from Newcastle and the Courtauld Institute. Due to its success, it has now become an annual fixture and has been extended to two weeks. It is supported by the Classical Association and the Society for Promotion of Hellenic Studies. The third annual Byzantine Greek Summer School was held in 2004. The course has grammar in the mornings and reading in the afternoons with welcoming and farewell parties, mid-week lectures on Byzantine subjects, and expeditions to the Ards peninsula and the Antrim coast. |
